Medical Dermatology Services

Orange Dermatology Associates, P.C. specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails.  It is important that you choose a Board Certified Dermatologist who understands the skin’s connection to your overall health.  Early treatment can prevent the onset of more serious complications.  All of our three dermatologists are Board Certified.

Skin Cancer

We diagnose and treat skin cancers including melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma.  Early detection results in the key to cure.  We work closely with MOHS skin cancer surgeons when needed, (visit the Center  for Derm  Surgery of Monroe) for removal of complex skin cancers or those in sensitive areas.

The physical and social discomfort caused by severe psoriasis – red, scaly areas of skin affecting different areas of the body is a major problem for millions of Americans.  We are a     Psoriasis Treatment Center and have decades of experience treating psoriasis including the  use of the new injectable “biologic medicines” and the most modern and up-to-date forms of  ultraviolet light therapy including PUVA, Narrow Band UVB, and the Excimer laser.

Acne is both a medical and cosmetic issue, and we dermatologists understand the physical and emotional issues involved with moderate to severe acne.  We work with each patient to create treatment plans that address his or her unique situation.  We believe that early treatment is the key to avoid permanent scarring.

Also called atopic dermatitis, eczema afflicts people of all ages, but commonly occurs in children and infants.  Patients have dry, sensitive skin with occasional flare-ups of itchy, red rashes.  The cause isn’t completely known, and it is often inherited.  Treatments include cortisone creams and ointments and various topical non cortisones as well.  One injectable biologic drug is now available to treat eczema, and more are on the horizon.

Our priority is to determine that moles or other unusual skin bumps are benign and don’t represent a health concern.  Once we make a diagnosis, we pursue an appropriate treatment.

Rashes can occur suddenly and for no apparent reason on everyone from infants to people in their 80s and 90s.  With our experience, we are extremely qualified at diagnosing and treating rashes that may be triggered by environmental irritants, allergies, infection, disease or other factors.

This condition results in flushed redness of the cheeks and nose.  It is caused when small blood vessels (telangiectasia) become dilated.

These common, colorless and typically harmless growths can make patients self-conscious. They are caused by a skin virus, and they can be treated with liquid nitrogen or other methods.
